Game Localization Marketing Support in Japan
In 2018 we supported game localization company GameTomo to market their Japanese version of the popular first-person shooter video game Superhot release on the PS4 to a Japanese audience.
WHO DID WE INVITE AND WHY?
To do so we decided to invite famous Japanese talent, cosplayer and passionated gamer Itsuki Akita to hold the very first live-stream of the game in Japanese on the PS4.
SOFTWARE, HARDWARE AND THE PLATTFORM
For the equipment, we used 2 notebooks, led light, a display, the PS4, a Sony PS4 webcam, and a microphone. We streamed on Itsuki Akira’s Twitch.tv channel
The Results
The live-stream ran for about 90 minutes. In total, we reached about 1000 viewers on average with hundreds of impressions/comments. Overall, many of the viewers mentioned that they already pre-ordered or are planning to purchase the Japanese PS4 version of the game.
